Description

The Grivel The Light Machine is a technical and versatile ice axe designed for technical mountaineering, classical mountaineering and ice climbing. The interchangeable Vario System head allows the axe to be configured with different accessories, while the forged Alpine blade provides reliable performance across a range of alpine terrain.

The G bone-shaped aluminium shaft combines a technical angle with a reinforced profile, providing increased strength and rigidity without requiring excessive shaft thickness. The shaft shape also provides a comfortable and secure grip when changing hand positions during climbing.

This Alpine/Thor Vario configuration combines the Alpine blade with Grivel's Thor Vario hammer attachment, making it well suited to technical climbing where a hammer is preferred. A rubber grip and innovative G-Slider hand support provide additional control and comfort when climbing.
