Fog In Yosemite by Emily LaVelle

Escape to the beautiful, foggy forest of Yosemite National Park as you meditate on this beautiful yoga mat featuring a section of Emily LaVelle’s gorgeous oil painting, “Fog In Yosemite”. 

I painted the original as a special memory. I worked at a camp outside of Yosemite National Park in 2013. That year was one of the most difficult times of my life. I was going through a lot and was struggling. On a day off,  I decided to do a solo hike up to Half Dome. That summer day turned out to be a rare cool day with fog and light rain on and off.

 

I remember feeling entirely at peace when I was lost in the forest’s silent tranquility. I took pictures while on my hike and one of them became the inspiration for “Fog In Yosemite” because it was there where I felt as one with the surrounding forest and engulfed in the fog around me.

That summer in Yosemite was where I found myself again… it’s a very special memory.
